My life has been increasingly miserable.
And everything that’s been wrong is apparently solely my fault.

When I’m telling the truth, you don’t believe me and you blow up on me
When I’m not, you get mad, blow up on me, and use it as an excuse not to believe me when I’m actually telling the truth.
and hey, don’t tell me that you’ve never lied before. I don’t believe it.
and don’t tell me you’ve never wanted something badly. I definitely don’t believe that.
I’m getting so sick of you. I don’t need you. I don’t need anyone, really.
I want to have a good relationship with you, but I don’t necessarily need it. I’m not gonna die without you.
You should know me by now. You’ve known me the longest out of anyone. I don’t want problems with you. You already have enough problems.
Don’t make enemies where it’s not necessary. You can’t keep me here and you definitely can’t force me to do anything.

God… what an experience. I just wish I wasn’t sick for most of the convention ): It was different this year… I was more concerned about my members having fun and being safe than meeting new people from other divisions. Making sure no one was lost & helping Irene, Bob, and Jim were my priorities. I really hope my members learned a lot from DCON :) And I’m sure we all bonded. Hugs and kisses to my roomies & my sophomores, Sharon and Hannah! & more hugs and kisses to my babe… who picked me up with flowers… AND SHAVED LOLOL
Congrats to Cannon! I know he doesn’t have a tumblr, but still… so proud! And to GHCHS! Wow, you guys won the spirit stick! 25 East finally got their name out there! I smell a Fall Rally South spirit stick win… GO D 2 5 EAST!
Anyhow, with the end of my term as club president of Cleveland High School, I can’t help but reminisce about my entire key club and high school career. I joined key club as a freshman… All I have to say it that I’ve changed so much. I’m not talking about physically - Key club gave me confidence, a positive outlook on life, and so much more. I can’t imagine my years at Cleveland without key club. Sure, I had a rough beginning and key club wasn’t always fun and fancy free, but it was definitely worth all the hard work. Sure, there are still certain individuals who aren’t exactly happy with my term but I think I’ve made my mark. From 28 to 89 members, a return of the pledge, a variety of members from various small learning communities, a move from E Hall to Media Academy, the installment of a board of directors, the creation of a CHS KC tumblr, paid off all our debts from our previous year, and more spirit. I’ve done my job as a key clubber and changed people. I’ve encouraged people. From the little things to bigger things, I’ve tried my best to adhere to the four core values: caring, leadership, character building and inclusiveness.
On my journey as a senior & key club president, I’ve made many friends and allies. First off, a huge thank you to Adrienne Salvador. I know we had a bad start, but thank you for believing in me. Really, without you, I couldn’t have done it. Secondly, Viet Tran! God, you are one of the best friends I could EVER ask for. I can always depend on this guy to get me through a rough time or ask him to do me a favor. He’s just always really understanding and caring - one of the best key club presidents ever. Love you, Viet! Last, but not least, Cleveland High School Key Club. Thank you for electing me as your president for the 2011-12 term. I’ve never learned so much nor have I ever loved so much. I hope I’ve been the president you all have deserved. L-O-V-E I love D 2 5 EAST!
